Cumbria CLIL is an international teacher training and consultancy company, based in North West England. We specialise in training teachers (primary and secondary) who teach their subjects through the medium of a foreign language.

We run residential courses in the UK (Carlisle and the Lake District) and deliver in-house consultancy and workshops throughout the rest of Europe and beyond.

We work with individual schools, groups of schools, CLIL networks, universities and national agencies to provide training that is high quality, relevant, personal and enjoyable.

 

 

Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) is an exciting area of work with proven benefits for the linguistic and cognitive development of children and young people. However, as teachers we can be daunted by the potential challenges involved.

Through its programme of residential courses, in-house workshops and consultancy, Cumbria CLIL aims to help teachers and CLIL coordinators answer these questions, reflect on their practice and work on strategies for the future.
